Registration will take place at Bethlen ter, room 105 on the first (American count second) floor Wednesday afternoon, Thursday morning, and Thursday daytime, when there are no programs.

Your registration package will include the detailed program, a Budapest map and guide and a weekly pass to the Budapest transportation system (from Thursday till Wednesday).

Parallel the registration a photo exhibition "Faces of Hungary" by Bonnie Humke will be open.
Bonnie Humke has been our American Administrator for a very long time and is - as many of you - in love with Budapest. She has been living here for longer periods a couple of times and visits Budapest regularly. The photo exhibition will show a small collection of her pictures taken here.

An episode of the On the Spot series of Spectrum TV by Eszter Cseke. Eszter was BSM Budapest student coordinator from 2004 till Fall, 2006, attended the University of Theater, Film and Television after that. Recently she became famous with her TV series
On the Spot, of which an episode will be shown as part of the meeting with the coordinators.

Boat trip on the Danube with buffet dinner
We will meet at the boat at 6:55pm, the latest (do not be late) at the Jászai Mari tér pier number one. Jászai Mari tér is at the Pest foot of Margaret bridge (recently under constraction) and you can reach it by trams # 2,4, and 6. The piers are numbered from 10 down to 1, 10 being the closest to the bridge, so pier #1 itself is further on the north from the bridge, at Szent István park, somewhere
here.

June 18th, Friday 9 AM
A day long trip of the hidden wonders of Budapest designed by Éva Beleznay, former chief architect of the city
Meeting point 9:00 am at Rácz fürdő (bath) at the Buda foot of Elizabeth bridge (take any bus crossing the bridge and get off immediately on the Buda side, under Gellért Hill and walk
here. Be careful, the express (red) buses might not stop here!
The bath has been completely reconstructed recently and is not open yet for the public, therefore we can conveniently visit both the old, Turkish and the modern bath during an approximately two hours guided tour.
We will then walk up to the Castle district and visit the Ybl palace. The palace is under reconstruction as well with a spectacular view of the city. After being guided here we will continue to Millenáris park, where the morning section will conclude.

A full day trip to Pécs (European Capital of Culture) and the Villány winery area.

Pécs at around 11am, and will have a guided tour through the highlights of the city and the features of the European Capital of Culture activities. Light lunch on your own. Start from Pécs at around 3:30 to reach the famous Villány winery area, where we will have wine tasting at the Vylyan cellars. After a dinner in a nearby restaurant we will drive back to Budapest. Arrival time: around 9-10 pm.
Participation fee: apprx. 12000 HUF/ person, transportation, including entrance fees, guide, wine tasting, but excluding meals

Traditions and history in the Puszta
Excursion to Bugac and Ópusztaszer. Leaving Budapest with our private bus at 8am, arriving to the National Park of Kiskunság at around 9:30. Walking around the park and visiting the
Shepherd Museum . At noon we watch the Horse Show. After the show we leave to the National Park of Ópusztaszer where light lunch can be bought. Ópusztaszer is the geographical center of Hungary, and several exhibitions can be viewed about the life and history of the country and people, including the famous Feszty Panorama Painting and an Open Air Village Museum. On our way back to Budapest we will stop and have dinner in a real csárda in the town of Lajosmizse . Arrival time: around 9-10 pm.
Participation fee: 12000 HUF/ person, transportation, including entrance fees, tasting, shows, but excluding meals

GO by bus to
Tiszafüred, have a light snack (on your own) before take the canoes to paddle through Lake Tisza. On the way home stop at Fehér Amur halászcsárda (fish restaurant) to have an authentic Hungarian "halászlé" (fish soup).
Arrival time: around 8-9 pm.
Participation fee: 10000 HUF/ person, including transportation, canoe and gear rental, guide, but excluding meals

Have you read "Paul street boys" by Ferenc Molnár? Sure, if you took Hungarian Culture at BSM. The farewell is designed in the newly revitalized (or being revitalized) area of the city where the novel took place. First, we will have a guided visit of
"Fűvészkert" (Botanic Garden of Paul Street Boys)
Meeting point is at the entrance.... Entrance fee is 600 HUF

... and after a short dinner break the closing (midsummer day) party is at the
"Grund" open air club (romkocsma), i.e., on the Grund (fatherland) of Paul street boys.
