and the academic orientation session

held the same morning, at the same address, ie

on September 4th   (Monday) 8:00 AM, Room 102

Please note that your participation in the academic orientation session is absolutely necessary!

During the academic orientation session we cover all basic information regarding your academic life during the next semester, while at the Welcome Party you will have a chance to meet most of your professors for the first time and discuss details of the forthcoming classes, or simply ask questions.
As the room may change the last minute, please look for the signs inside the Bethlen tér building

Courses will start in the same building on September 4th (Monday) morning at 10:15, i.e. right after the orientation.

The (brief) calendar of the semester is as follows:

Pre semester important dates

August 16th (We), Hungarian language course starts
August 16th (We), 12:45 pm Pre-orientation for those who are already in Budapest; see language school schedule
August 20th (Sun), National Holiday. Most stores closed.
August 29th (Tue), Pre-registration data is due (questionnaire will be sent out by Aug 22nd)
August 31st (Thu), Hungarian language course ends.
September 2nd (Sat), 1pm Make-up practical orientation at BSM (at Bethlen Gabor Square 2; for those who did not take the language course)
September 2nd (Sat), 4pm Living in Budapest ("hands-on city experience tour")

1. October 23rd Monday is a National Holiday in Hungary and the 24th is also off, resulting in a long weekend for October 21-24.
2. The Friday (Nov 24th) following Thanksgiving is also off, resulting in a long weekend Nov 23-26.
