Practice book: Sántha Mária: Hungarian for Beginners ( PONS): Part II Units 6-10

This course will provide students with the basic skills in reading writing and speaking in Hungarian at a post-beginners level.
The course spends considerable time with reviewing and replenishing the elementary grammar of the 8o-hour intensive language program.
Subsequently some further important elements of Hungarian grammar will be discussed.

Hungarian folk songs, nursery rhymes and poems are an integral part of the course.
By the end of the course, students will be able to carry out basic conversations in a variety of everyday situations.
Field trips during the course: going to a café, spring-time walk in Margit sziget, visiting an open air folk museum in Szentendre.

Final grades will be based on the following components:
class/fieldtrip attendance and active classroom participation 30%
4 word quizzes 20%
homework 20%
final test 30 %
